This discussion circle invites participants to explore the connections between Japanese Ama women divers, pearls, Bahraini pearl-diving songs, and the ways in which women’s narratives, oral transmission, and shared knowledge shape these practices. Through collective dialogue and exchange, participants will be able to contribute perspectives and stories that resonate with these themes. The conversation will be audio-recorded in order to be integrated into Raffaella Crispino’s ongoing research.
