Al Riwaq Art Space invites makers and entrepreneurs to join an active market that takes place in a vibrant area. The community marketing we provide during our editions of The Nest allows vendors to engage directly with their target customers. We are excited to re-activate our annual space where artists, designers, architects, and urban designers come together. Our markets are also home to traditional and modern fusion food stalls. We invite savory and sweet street food to act as an appetizer or dessert prior to sampling nearby 338 restaurants!

This year, The Nest explores the ways and means culture is fused and integrated, to celebrate the cultural fusions found within Bahrain, an island of diversity influenced not just by diaspora from the Arabian Peninsula, but a history of trade links from Persia, East Africa and the Indian sub-continent.

 

This year we offer a specially-curated programme of public art, workshops and pop-up events in accordance with this year’s theme of appeal, offering Bahrainis a chance to be reintroduced to each other. As people, we are defined by our habits, rituals and traditions. 

 

With its strong emphasis on public art and design community engagement, The Nest will continue to act as a major local hub for the Bahraini public, promoting creativity and artistic expression especially among youth.

Application Process

- Apply through filling out the form below & providing a link to or photos of your work.
- Applicants will be reviewed and a selected number will be chosen based on their collection, quality, and confirmation that they are original designs. 
- Mark your preferred weekend (allocation of weekends to vendors will be based on preference and availability). 
- Sign the contract & pay the fee and deposit (TBA)

NOTE: Due to the limited number of stalls, selected vendors will be shortlisted and contacted upon availability

Market Timings *

Thursdays: 5 pm- 11 pm
Fridays: 3 pm -11 pm
Saturdays: 12 pm -9 pm

*Vendors have to be present to setup at least 30 minutes before the opening.

100 BD per weekend (A 20 BD deposit will be required. The deposit will be refunded after checking stall conditions.)

يعتبر سوق العش في العدلية نقطة تلاقي بين الفنون والتجارة والتصميم. كما أنه يضيف أبعاداً جديدة لهذه المنطقة الحيوية ويشكّل امتداداً للطابع الثقافي والتاريخي المتنوع لمدينة المنامة. تتنوع معروضات السوق بين الأزياء والمجوهرات والاكسسوارات والزجاج والسيراميك والأثاث والنباتات، والعديد من المنتجات الأخرى. إن العش يسمو عن كونه مجرد سوق لعرض تصاميم مميزة حيث أنه يخلق نقطة إلتقاء في الساحة المحلية تجمع ما بين الحفلات الموسيقية الحية، وعروض للأفلام وأنشطة للأطفال، حيث تخاطب هذه البرامج الفرص والتحديات التي تكمن في خلق هوية محلية للتصميم، وتتيح الفرصة لتقديم مشاريع مبتكرة ذات غايات معنوية تتعدى الأهداف التجارية. وأما بالنسبة إلى مقهى السوق الشهير في الحديقة فسوف يكون في قلب مساحة محاطة بمنطقة لعب الأطفال، وسوف يشكل منطقة فريدة للزوار.

إن فكرة العش لهذا العام تتمحور حول اندماج الثقافات و انصهارها مع بعضها البعض احتفالا بالتنوع الحضاري المتواجد في البحرين كجزيرة تاثرت حضاريا ليس فقط من حركات الهجرةالتي حدثت من شبه الجزيرة العربية بل ايضا من العلاقات التجارية التاريخية التي تربط البحرين ببلاد فارس وشرق أفريقيا و شبه القارة الهندية

- شارك معنا من خلال تعبئة الاستمارة أدناه وتوفير رابط أو صور للعمل الخاص بك.
- سيتم مراجعة الإستمارات واختيار المجموعة المشاركة بناء على أعمالهم وجودتها.
- حدد عطلة نهاية الاسبوع المفضلة لديك (تخصيص عطلة نهاية الأسبوع للبائعين سيتم بناء على الإختيار وتوفر المطلوب).
- قم بتوقيع العقد ودفع رسوم وإيداع (سيتم الاعلان عن وقت الدفع عن المبلغ لاحقا)

ملاحظة: نظرا لوجود عدد محدود من الأكشاك، سيتم إعلام البائعين المختارين من قبلنا حسب العدد المتوفر.

الخميس: من ٥ مساء حتى ١٠ مساء
الجمعة: من ٣ بعد الظهر حتى ١٠ مساء
السبت: من ١١ صباحاً حتى ٧ مساء

* يجب على الباعة التواجد قبل موعد الافتتاح بـ ٣٠ دقيقة على الأقل.
