Running from November 24th to December 17th 2016, The Nest is a combination of past annual programmes Alwan 338 and Market 338, is an annual arts festival functioning as a strategic platform for the promotion and dissemination of local design culture. Functioning at the intersection between art, commerce and design, it is a community-oriented model which combines public art installations with a vendors market, bringing together creatives and businesses in the local area.​

is designed to support emerging and mid career contemporary U.A.E. artists and designers. Located in Sharjah, a dynamic arts hub, and recipient of the 2014 Islamic Cultural Capital Award, Maraya provides a stimulating working environment.

Working with institutions internationally Maraya will send UAE artists/designers overseas and host 3 residents per year for 1-3 months. Travel and honorarium will be covered for international residencies.
