Al Riwaq Art Space

‘Jumble’ will focus on experimental art works created by upcoming and emerging artists from Bahrain. The show’s aim is to encourage youth’s creativity and to provide the artists with a space to display their artistic expressions in a context that enables their work to be appreciated for what it is.

Our objective is to provide emerging talents the opportunity to exhibit art works that explore various concepts in interesting and creative ways. Al Riwaq Art Space encourages artistic experimentation and underlies the importance of exploring various ideas, concepts, mediums and forms of artistic thinking without boundaries.

“Jumble” is a mélange of concepts and mediums that emphasizes on the playfulness and creativity of the talents in Bahrain. Al Riwaq Art Space visited art exhibitions held at various high schools in Bahrain in search for stimulating art and has discovered artists such as Rashid Al Oraifi, Salman Al Najem and Ahmed Al Mannai amongst others who explore contemporary issues through interesting conceptual approaches.

Artworks for “Jumble” were chosen based on the uniqueness of the artist’s approaches to various topics. Issues discussed via the art works in this mixed media exhibition vary from politics to censorship and include very humorous works.
